We are currently aware of an issue where scores are not posting to Twitter. This is due to new security requirements by Twitter. We are working to resolve this issue and will post updates here.

Share your scores with the world.

PasturePool Members can now choose to post their scores to twitter automatically. Twitter preferences can be set within your account information page.

Additional handicap education is now available. Members can now see a detailed list of the rounds used in their handicap calculation.

PasturePool v1.1 for the iPhone is now available.

A quick note to let everyone know we have submitted v1.1 to the iTunes App Store. Several enhancements in this release include:

- Country Search

- Additional course condition selections when scoring rounds

- Fixed minor scoring bug

- Enhanced member login

- 560 additional courses since v1.0 release

We believe PasturePool iPhone software is the best golf scoring software available. It allows golfers to spend more time golfing and less time using technology while on the course. Our aim is to continuously improve our site and iPhone software.

iPhone Update-9/26/08

Not sure about the rest of you, but I'm ready to move to the West Coast considering the weather we've been experiencing here in the East. Not good for the golf game.

At least it has given us time to continue development on a few enhancements for our iPhone v1.1 software. Planned updates include:

- Search courses by country

- Auto Login

- Additional Weather Conditions

- U/D Bug Fix

We have begun work to enhance a few features of PasturePool.com for our international community. A few of the planned enhancements:

1. Meters listed on international course scorecards
2. International phone number entry on course scorecards (if applicable)
3. More functional address/location information on coursecards

PasturePool Golf Now Available on iTunes - 8/19/08

PasturePool Golf software is now available on iTunes. Our software version integrates both offline and online capabilities allowing you to score rounds regardless of cell or wireless coverage. Spend more time playing golf!

Online Handicap Index(N) - 8/10/08

For those golfers posting 9 hole rounds, PasturePool now provides a Handicap Index(N). This is currently available on our WebSite version only.

Golf clubs compute a Handicap Index (N) by applying nine-hole adjusted gross scores to the USGA Course Rating and Slope Rating of the nine holes played to determine Handicap Differentials.

Note: Players with a Handicap Index (N) who play an 18-hole round, must post two nine-hole scores to their scoring record (N).

Example: For a nine-hole adjusted gross score of 45 with a nine-hole USGA Course Rating of 36.2 and a Slope Rating of 121, the nine-hole Handicap Differential is (45 - 36.2) x 113 / 121 = 8.2. If the average of the best ten nine-hole Handicap Differentials is 8.9, then the Handicap Index (N) is 8.9 x .96 = 8.5. It is posted as "8.5N.

Online Course Handicap Calculator - 8/9/08

Members now have access to course handicap information two ways:

First

Calculate a course handicap using our new course handicap calculator. The calculator is available on the PasturePool ClubHouse main page and can be accessed by logging into your account from a computer or iPhone.

Second

When viewing course information for a particular course, the course handicap for the course is now available. *Requires a PasturePool online handicap.

Our handicap calculations currently use 18-hole rounds only. We are working on an enhancement which will allow members to allow two 9-hole rounds to be used in handicap calculations.
